I don't see it as a factor other than people gamble because they can afford to spend money. Even we think it is because of the chase of winning big, but I know these people have money. That is why I don't agree it was due to the bad status of the economy, but rather I believe it is a condition where people are living well. If we imagine, poor people don't think this would be their priority. Some might gamble, but the majority are more interested in ensuring their needs can be met than spending their money on gambling.
