New Camp Nou, having Messi back. Am I the only one seeing that Barcelona is seeking to use Messi to generate more money more than having a high quality player. I mean Messi is one of the best players in the world and he is still good even though he is getting old and so on. A team with wise management trying to secure the future of the team for the next 10 years will try to give their players a chance to improve, recruit young talented players, not try to recruit again an old player, with respect to Messi career..
Exactly, it's not like having Messi back would make them win the Champions league or so, they know how influential Messi is, I think they lost lots of fans when he left and bringing him back especially when they're about to open their new stadium means bringing back more fans and more fans means more money, that's a very good strategy to generate money but can they also keep up with his wage? Except maybe he won't last at the club for more than a season moreover that would mean trouble for younger talents playing his wing, they'll have to create a chance for Messi to fit in cause Barcelona can't resign Messi just to keep him on the bench so it would cause less playing time for the likes of Raphinha that's currently getting to his peak, would Barcelona gamble Raphinha's playing time for Messi's return? Those are the questions ringing in my head.
