How old is Lewandowski but he is still scoring more and more goals. Messi can still play in Laliga, if he ever made the switch back to Barcelona. Inter Miami won't be in his way, I believe he Messi will see out his contract with Inter Miami before that time. I think he signed a two year contract with them, and I believe the contract will expire at the end of the current MLS season. If you have been watching Messi recently, you will see that the Man is still playing in the top level. Messi is not going to retire in the US. If Messi is going to retire where he's more revered, I think that's going to be Barcelona. Messi can't be more revered in Miami than he is in Barcelona.
You might be right. But even though Messi can still play in the La Liga, that doesn't necessarily mean he would return. He seems more likely to retire in the MLS and with Inter Miami where is already regarded as the best player. Despite his legendary status at the club, at this stage of his career Messi is no longer playing at his peak. I think Barcelona should be focused on rebuilding with younger players.
