Well selling some percentage of my investment to even buy more may not be a very bad idea... While we are preaching buying and keeping we also need to know that the future is not promised. Nobody is guaranteed of being alive in the next 10 years - fate decides. In the meantime my investment strategy is buy more and sell less... When the future finally comes, I'll have more than enough bitcoins to leverage and in the present I take advantage of every good enough opportunity.

How will you be selling your Bitcoin investment and still be trying to buying more Bitcoin? Which kind of idea is that? If I should even ask, why did you decide to sell some percentage of your Bitcoin when you know you want to accumulate more? You are trying to be smart, but you will get it wrong if you start using that idea.if you sell your Bitcoin, you may not see the opportunity to buy back at your target price. In fact, I would say that you are trying to turn into a trader with that idea you may hardly grow back your wallet. As an investor, buying and selling is not always the best approach, rather, it’s about accumulating over the long term before selling. And again, if you don’t need the money, it is not necessary to sell after that long run of 5-10years.
This is why I keep saying those who wait to buy the dip are mostly traders cos majority of those who buy the dip, buy it to sell when the price bumps and that’s the mindset of a trader. In as much as buying the dip is a known method of buying bitcoin I don’t see it as a strategy for long term accumulation. It is only a great opportunity to add to one’s portfolio at a cheaper rate.
Tho I don’t blame those who buy the dip to sell, we’re all in this to make profits whether long term or short term, But long term goals is more profitable than short term
You can't call them all traders because there are many new investors who are ready to enter the Bitcoin market and they will be more inclined to buy at the dips. Although we believe that one should not wait for the dips, the price of Bitcoin can go bullish at any time. Since you are still new investor and have a lot to learn about investing, I don't know if you are doing Bitcoin. If you have some Bitcoin fractions/huge stash then you will also be eager to buy dips and this is one of the expected and most anticipated events for investors. Although If you are a really new Bitcoin investor now is the best time to accumulate Bitcoin regardless of worth.

There are also some investors who are regularly accumulating Bitcoin and they are waiting for the dips season. They are Using floating cash to buy Bitcoin with lump sum for long-term. I consider buying dips as an important part of long-term investing, along with accumulating Bitcoin in the DCA method.
Wether you are a newbie investors or not, it's a terrible decision waiting for the dip before buying, because by doing so you might miss a whole lot of buying opportunities that may have comes along, which should have been properly utilized to add to your stash of Bitcoin, then along the line while accumulating if their is a serious dip in the market, it's best to accumulate aggressively only if you have the financial leverage to do so, but if you don't have such leverage, the best thing to do is to continue buying at your own pace without getting distracted by what's happening in the market.

So in essence of what am trying to say is that their is no point waiting for the price to dip before buying, you can still be buying, but if in the process the price dip, you might decide to buy aggressively only when you have the financial power to do so, but if you don't have such leverage, just continue buying at your own pace without stress.
Just as you said in addition to your perspective waiting for price can lead to missed buying opportunities and a lower overall bitcoin price, consistency accumulation of bitcoin at a steady price is more of better than expectations of the dip season I do advice newly investors to always stick to their plans and avoid impulsive decisions based on short term gains movements, remember to invest within your means avoid taking unnecessary risks which is not worth the risk
