Alot is at stake for the Zimbabwean - their government has put a bounty pool on the game against Nigeria; I'm hearing $10k per player if they manages to beat Nigeria in Akwa Ibom this week. That's enough motivation for them.
We haven't won against Zimbabwe since 2019 hope we can change that this week and maybe move to the 2nd place if Benin Republic loses to South Africa.
$10k is huge amount of money and it will surely serve as motivation to the team, the players will try possible best to defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria so as to claim their prices, but can they defeat this current motivated Super Eagle team?
The main reason why all these teams are having confidence over the Super Eagles is because of how poor we started the qualifiers; we played four games with just three points out of possible 12 points which is the main reason why so many teams are looking down the Super Eagles team.
Nevertheless, this new coach is setting a standard in the Super Eagles team which is impressive and can help the team win and get more points in this qualifiers. With the confidence and composure we played Rwanda, if we played the same way or more than the way we played against Rwanda, they will defeat Zimbabwe. The Super Eagles of Nigeria really need to win this match in order to step up in the group for possible qualification to the World Cup.
