Of course Amorim don't need to be judged with his performance this season. If we look at sporting Lisbon where he bought the players of his choice, we can clearly see that he did very well there. So it is very important that we should give him some space to finish the season provided they don't go to relegation, which is very unlikely to happen. Even Ten Hag who brought all those inferior players at Manchester United couldn't achieve anything with them. He got his ass sacked, so anyone who is judging Amorim with this season performance of Manchester United is not being fair to the Man. It will be fair if we judge the Man when he is fully responsible for who stays at the team next season.
So when comparing him with the previous club I think it's very excessive when comparing with MU right now, because Sporting competes in the Portugal league which I think is not competitive enough with the premier league. We certainly provided him as good manager when recruited Gyokeres, he was a nobody player before, because not performing well at Brighton, but after Amorim brought him to Portugal, Gyokeres performed brilliantly maybe because not so many attackers who can balance him. So, from that situation, we should know that Amorim is just an ordinary coach who got lucky to train in a big club like MU, so I think he needs more improvement to be able to compete with other coach.
