So the question is: you don't care about the numbers and fill them automatically, as they all have the same chances to win, or you tend to pick your preferred ones (birthdays, favourite numbers,...) manually?

This requires some more information because it does make a difference depending on the game you are playing.

If you like to play the lottery, choosing birth dates or well known lucky numbers that others are likely to share with you, winnings in case of being lucky are statistically lower as more people with the same "lucky numbers" share the prize pool. That is why it is not the smartest method to choose numbers that others are likely to choose too, whether they are your lucky ones or not.

I think as soon as a known prize pool has to be shared with other participants, picking birth date numbers or patterns of numbers usually lowers your share in a prize pool. In all other games where your stake gets multiplied regardless of what others choose, lucky numbers are fine.

When you are really that dealing up with lottery or sweepstakes on which if you are really that wanting to have some fun on picking up your numbers then you would really be finding interesting on trying out to apply some picking about some special numbers on which you would really be that trying out to consider those birthdates, monthsaries, anniversaries, or any other special occasions that happened into your life on which actually its not really that bad at all if you do have this kind of approach. There are really just that those people who are really just that being too hopeful or optimistic at the time that they have already picked up their numbers. The only issue on here is that on the moment that you do made out some choices then at the moment that on the drawing of numbers then you are really that having some high hopes that you will be able to hit up that jackpot one go, on which this is that almost impossible to happen. People do become that impulsive or being disappointed at the time that they lose up their ticket by giving those losing numbers. You would be having that kind of impulsive thinking and emotion on which it will really be that resulting into further on buying up more tickets. Usually people will be that become impatient and really have that huge expectation when it comes on winning up the jackpot. Knowing about the odds on hitting up the lottery or sweepstakes then it will really be that close to impossible and this is why its really just that bad if you do have these kind of approach towards it. Bet or buy up tickets for fun but dont make yourself that being that too optimistic because it will really be just making yourself that being disappointed on which it causes up even more mistakes or actions on which arent supposed to do.
