my question is that if for instance the user was trying to hide himself on the forum due to privacy reasons, can't his post history also be updated aswell, so he can be completely untraceable? like I mean when you check his post history, you will find all his old post updated to his new username on the forum software. this way, only those who he chooses to know of his presence would be aware of him. is this possible?
As some members have already replied, it's possible but may be task demanding, imaging that the quotes made already bears their former names, and the moment you see them having a change of name, changing the link to that quote which as their former name and inserting on a new one could be demanding than we just thought of.
Also concerning those requesting for a change of name, i don't know what they have seen in it that makes them feels like its as important as that to have a change of name even when there is no cognit reason being given, am sure the admin must have been turning a lot of applications down at the cause of not having a tangible reason for that.
