I said it because it's an option if you can't think of a solution. If you can't trust ppl to keep your seeds safe after you're dead you'll have to tell ppl when you're alive & hope they won't cheat you or else how can they enjoy the crypto you're giving them when you die?
The phrase of not giving your private keys or seed phrase to any person you trust is to maximize security of your assets but at some points in life, we all don't own the life we have, there is going to come a time when you will not be alive anymore so it's important you share it with someone very close to you incase you are no more. I know that trusting people with money is very hard but I will gladly share my seed phrase with my wife, it's safer in hands if I'm no more.
If I die, she no where and how to have access to it and at some point, I can trust her with all my things. I think as old person that has been with their wife for years like 40 years of marriage, such people should knows better if they can trust their wife or if they have another person they can trust. Some people can entrust such in the hand of their kids than even the mother, if that's what works for you, it's better they do it than let the Bitcoin never get any access while your family suffer later.
