Bitcoin remains hard to use, mining continues to be environmentally damaging to a very large extent while it also becomes more centralized and scalability remains an issue. This price boom changes nothing in terms of fundamentals. Bitcoin's price went up mostly due to external factors but that doesn't solve the issues related to adoption. Maybe though in the end, adoption doesn't matter? What are your thoughts?

Everything that you have written are all valid points and calls for concern on where we're heading because it seems what the talks in Bitcoin is all about how can make profit be made from Bitcoin getting to a new all time high and not how they can increase the adoption of Bitcoin. All Bitcoin recent milestone has all been related to the price of Bitcoin and not nothing about adoption. When president Donald Trump said Bitcoin will be included in the strategic reserved, this should have been a good step in Bitcoin adoption but yet it all got transferred to the how this will affect the price of Bitcoin. But what everybody was concerned about is how Bitcoin price can go up and this is bringing greediness into the market as all the movement are directed at making the price of Bitcoin to continue increase despite adoption not improving, it calls for concern.
