I think placing a risky bet is more stressful, especially if it's a skill-based game where our decisions can influence the outcome. Sports betting is a great example of that. When watching bitcoin go up and down, we don't really have a say in the direction the market will move. Sure, you can conduct technical analysis and watch for familiar patterns. But even so, there is plenty of outside factors you can't control. One positive or negative piece of news can override all your technical analysis.
