@Bitcoin Smith, it is indeed such a sad state of affairs for our local board. I sometimes wonder what is stopping Indian community to be more active here? I respect the efforts you are putting in to make our local section vibrant and active. Let me know if we can do something for increasing our community engagement better here, Like giveaways or India specific contests and games.

Giveaways or anything didn't work because community members tried that already. And the actual problem is we lack active members, we need more of the users to start engaging in the discussions, I know there are a lot of our countrymen are active on bitcointalk but not interested in local board. What we can do is, just be active here and bring interesting topics to discuss that will drag the people here over the period of time.I am sure we can do it together.
Speaking of merit source, what happened to our previous merit sources? Guess at some point we had one.
Yes, we had one until he decided that he doesn't want to be anymore.Heisenberg_Hunter, you should look into the distribution of source merit (if you are still a merit source) to revive our board before it becomes too late.
I'm not a merit source, but still I have quite a few smerits in my account which I will try to distribute when I have time 
The position has become difficult to handle and a few members were threatening me to distribute merits in our local. Hence, I have retired from the position
Do not be disheartened by any member leaving, we have to look forward and welcome any new Indian members if they are coming to the forum.
Exactly, We should keep the board active whether we get a merit source or not, just to be relevant in the OG crypto community.
