YouTube is a good source for those who know how to source the right information from those YouTube content creators, also I agree that I prefer Bitcointalk as a source of information since I am already used to Bitcointalk compared to YouTube as mentioned, and the negative experience of my past, I have a bad feeling always for YouTube marketing videos.

All information is for reference only, including investment advice from this forum, without exception. We are all investors, but there are many people who think they are better than others and call themselves experts. Many people even become selfish and are willing to criticize others or impose their thoughts on others.

Your bad experience with Youtube is due to your carelessness and gullibility, not Youtube's fault. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean it wasn't good, we shouldn't be so unfair.

When it comes to investing, any information from others is for reference only, we need to do our own research and should not depend on anyone.

Frankly, finding altcoin investment advice on this forum is somewhat limited as most people here are bitcoin maximalists. We all love bitcoin more than any other coin so we have a harsher view on altcoins, thus the advice will be a bit more biased and personal.

i totally feel you on being cautious about those Youtube marketing videos, I've fallen down that rabbit hole myself. When i first go into crypto, I'd watch a ton of them and then hop over to bitcointalk to see what people were saying but i noticed some folks there can be super negative about altcoins which threw me off. These days, i make it a point to do my own digging, checking out a bunch of different places so i can piece together what's really going on. It's honestly helped me avoid some sketchy moves and I feel a lot better about my choices now.

Although this is great site, not everything you read on here is perfect either.

I like to invest in altcoins and find many on here are not into them at all and only invest in BTC which is fine but they then also make you feel sometimes that you are doing the wrong thing by taking a risk with altcoins.

I have a few altcoins that are down 75% currently, but some that have given me over 10x return in the last 6 months or so.

As long as you do your research, have some variety with your altcoins picks and go with your gut then you should be fine with altcoins.

I have numerous threads on this site where I say that I expect 5-10x return on my altcoins later this year when Bitcoin pumps above $125k+ and we have some kind of alt season but I get many replies from Bitcoin maxis saying it wont happen. Lets see.
