To be frankly speaking, Victor Osimhen has all the right to be angry with the rest Super Eagle's players, of which if I was to be in his shoes, I would have done the exact same thing, because I will blame both coach Eric Chelle for removing Victor Osimhen at 87 minutes into the end of the game, of which we all saw how Zimbabwe was able to score an equalizing goal just 3 minutes immediately he was removed, implying maybe I'd hw had been on the pitch till the end, Nigeria would probably have won. And it's quite unfair, considering how dedicated he was to seeing Nigeria qualify for next year's world cup. However, it's just too sad, Nigeria wouldn't be participating in next year's world cup.
What is Nigerian chances of qualifying for the World Cup, we started very well in the first half, i expected the Super Eagles to win the game swiftly, the first half gave us the opportunity of scoring our winning goals,
the players ate all the chances, it was a very weak performance from the team, we can't play in the world Cup with such performance if we luckily beat the odds of making it to the World Cup.
It's simply sad the game ended draw with an equalizing goal at the very die minutes just the way it did. Because what I think was the major problem of that game was that the Super Eagles we're too over confident that they have absolutely won the game, since they were already taking the lead with 1 goal till 88 minutes to the end of the game, and that made them to feel relaxed while waiting for the final whistle, forgetting the fact that the game wasn't over yet and anything could happen, which eventually did with the equalizing goal at 90 minutes. I swear these players will always regret not taking advantage scoring more goals when they had all the opportunities.
Formerly, I used to hear this for the Super Eagles players—that players were being promised rewards as an incentive to win important games like this. What happened to those times?
Has the economy become that bad?
And in regards to this, just as everybody have said that this shouldn't have been a major factor why they ought not to have performed very well, for me, I think to agree with them, because if our players had played very well, that enough would have been an opportunity for them to display their skills to global market, of which the money they would have made with signing with big European or Arabian clubs would have been far more than whatever our Nigerian government would have intended to offer. So I see no reason for them not to have played their best.
