Of course sometimes I do place addictional bet when my first target cut off of which most people always consider it as chasing after our lose but I don't always have such intention when doing that, because I only do that whenever time I feel like. While sometimes after losing my first ticket I can decide to give it a break for sometime to continue next so as to clear my head, then after that i will start think of other method to use maybe when I want to continue next time.
In truth, even an addicted gambler will never see themselves as an addict and I’m not referring to you here. I’m just trying to say that; you really wouldn’t get to agree that your strategy could directly be you chasing after your loss but then, the people watching or whom hears the narrative could easily decipher that.
The good thing for most of us is that, we know just when it’s right to call it off and are able to do just that.
I may not agree with you completely, most especially on regards of what you said about addicts not agreeing that they are addicts. To be honest with you, some or even most if not all addicts actually do get to that level when and where they realize that they are addicted to gambling and wish to stop, but unfortunately before they arrive at this stage, it is often too late for them to be able to stop on their own except of the ones who discovered their addiction early enough and decided to take some steps back as a way not to fall too deep into the addiction.
And talking about chasing after loses, this is something anyone can do, both the addicted and the non addicted do chase after their loses at times, but then, I sure agree with the other user that it's not everyone I decided to place a bet again after a nearmiss experience, that I am actually chasing after the loses, most times, i genuinely place another bet not because I lost the previous, but because I just want to bet and try my luck again.
