i am a sports fan before i am a gambler i watch sports and i bet on my predictions to amplify the entertainment and enjoyment i get from that sports i could not bet while watching a sport but it is always much more fun to look forward to the results knowing especially that you might win in the end so if your favorite team wins you are happy as a fan but you can be happier if you also win some money from betting on them

this leads me to thinking whether do people bet on sports they do not enjoy or are not a fan of? maybe there are people out there who are just really in for the money and they would bet on sports that are popular and they have a bigger chance on winning at even if they do not particularly enjoy them

personally i can't imagine having to sit and watch and analyze countless of matches of a sport i do not enjoy watching just to bet on them

what about you?

I never bet on sports I don't like because it takes a lot of energy to watch and analyze all day long about sports games that don't interest you at all.

But I'm sure there are people like that out there, they don't like the sport (for example football) but they actively bet on the sport with the aim of getting money from the bets they make because the chances of winning in football are higher compared to other sports.
I somehow have a hard time imagining a player who places bets like a machine, completely without emotion, literally as if he were working on a conveyor belt.
Still, most likely, such a manner of placing bets, obviously exclusively for earnings, still begins to influence the player and he is confusedly interested in watching matches, maybe even in a small analysis of the factors influencing the victory or defeat of this team.
I do not even exclude that people who at first place bets mechanically on a conveyor belt, as they become involved in the game for the sole purpose of earning money, gradually become interested in this kind of sport, and sometimes even become real fans.

anything you can imagine a human can do there's at least one human doing, 8 billion is a lot of variability so definitely there's someone
but I agree with you that this is a bit more rare than usual, probably doesn't happen so much
people are not machines, they have emotions, even if they aren't connected with their emotions at all...
