Although this season Leverkusen could not defend its title, it does not make Xabi Alonso considered bad, he will still be an important coach for the future of the club. I mean the influence given by Alonso is the initial key to rekindle the fighting spirit of the players. Furthermore if Alonso leaves the club, the candidate to replace him must be able to continue the legacy. It will not be easy but at least I am sure Leverkusen will still be a club that continues to compete at the top in the title challenger. There are still 8 matches left to fight for, therefore no matter how small the chance is Leverkusen must really fight. After they lost in UCL the heavy burden began to ease and they can focus more on sweeping the 8 matches.
I think Leverkusen should keep Xabi. Leverkusen did not perform as consistently as last season, but this season they are not bad even though they could not defend their title. Munich who this season is better and does not want to repeat last season's mistakes. and now the competition is getting tighter with Leverkusen.
It will not be easy to get a coach who will immediately fit in with the current players in the Leverkusen team. Although maybe everything will be prepared for next season, but it would be better for Leverkusen to maintain everything that has been built by Xabi.
Leverkusen wont find a better coach then Xavi Alonso and he gaved them their first title last season. He does a really good job with them and a second place this season isnt that bad. They are putting up a good fight with Bayern and i think they should keep Xavi Alonso at least for a few mlre seasons
