interestingly yuki's first GP will be in Japan, must be an awesome feeling for him
I'm overly surprised by this move now, I didn't expect it this early.
I think that it will be more a pressure than a great feeling. And I think that it simply has too much potential to get him make mistakes.
I don’t think Yuki can adjust so fast and we just those three practice slaps maybe it’s not enough to really determine if he could drive the un-drivable car or so they say the Max car. I remember that an interview with Alex Albon said that it’s like playing with high sensitivity mouse and you need to still be precise in your movements.
I completely agree. On the other hand, I am not sure how much did Liam Lawson drive the car either (clearly not enough) before getting the seat at RedBull.
I'd add that one has to start from somewhere. Who knows? Maybe he finds the sweet spot of the car (I'd be surprised with the current state of the RedBull car, fingers crossed, for sure).
A Japanese racer in Japan GP. That connects.

Is it really underperformance of other racers, or is this just a great plan for other purposes?
Wasn't the plan that Honda leaves RedBull? I'm not sure what "great plan" can prevent that.
Honda will go to Aston Martin after this year and RedBull will get some Ford motors.
They are giving them an extra $30mln to race in the Red Bull - $10mln extra from that just to have him race in Japan since they will get the publicity having him the poster child of the RB/Honda deal until it expires.
Since Horner is the CEO he can use this as he likes some were joking that he will buy another farm or use it to reunite the Spice Girls so his wife Geri can go on tour again.
