I look at bitcoin as my early retirement fund. Obviously, none of us want nor expect a significant crash and loss of value from which Bitcoin will never recover.
You have good investment idea, and perhaps strategy too.
As the saying goes, bitcoin doesn't have a top because fiat doesn't have a bottom. A major threat that the ecosystem will have to deal with sooner or later is that of quantum computing. If the network takes too long to decide which quantum-resistant algorithm to upgrade to and we get people pulling different strings, that would really be bad. A split in the community due to a hard fork would be even worse.
Bitcoin is parobolic upwards while fiat currencies are parabolic downwards. It's enough to help Bitcoin increasing in price against fiat currencies and with growth of Bitcoin adoption, massive new demand, Bitcoin price will have another reason to soar in future.
