Unless a newbie has a specific urgent question for which most newbies don't seem to care to search a likely already posted answer, there's no need to rush to post something. Take your time to work through a lot of valuable information in Lauda's topic and summary post.
Even in emergency, you will need to search for finding available answers. Creating a thread an waiting for answers from community can take a longer time or you can create a thread for asking, while in waiting time for answers, you can search and find available answers.
It's fine when you have registered an account here at bitcointalk.org and not post for the first weeks or months. The sticky posts in many forum sections are there for a purpose and that purpose is not solely decorative! Read and learn, repeat.
