I do not think Namacheap is trying to protect these phishing websites. The recent website 'exch[.]live' was reported to Namecheap and was taken down the day I made the report (in my case).
If Namecheap were trying to protect these websites, then they'd have the same for the .live domain.

I'll write another email and see if it works. I asked for their contact number from live support, but they don't have telephone support—just mail.
