Lyon are playing their Ligue 1 games without their manager Fonseca. I assume you know about Fonseca's nine-month ban. It is valid only there. Not in the Europa League. Therefore I wouldn't be affected by that Strasbourg loss very much honestly.

They haven't been losing in the Europa League for 7 games. That's a pretty good record.  Cool  I don't think they will surrender easily against the Red Devils. I even think Lyon can advance to the semi finals in case they get a decent win home in the first leg.

The Fonesca ban is really going to affect Lyon in the league but many people have begin to actually think it will also impact their Europa League chances but I am of the believe that it will not affect them since they will have him on the touch line.

The game will have the first leg been played at Old Trafford which should be in Manchester United favour, but one thing I always do not like about playing first in European knockout matches is the fact that most of the time the team playing home matches in the second leg are usually at advantage, so if Lyon can have a good game at Old Trafford and not allow high deficit or even avoid loss they can do better in the home game and probably qualify
