Not much can be said for Leganes today; they showed their face. They had to play against Madrid with Mbappé, Bellingham, Junior, Rodrygo, etc., and on top of that, add the spice of the referee, who made Madrid win. Madrid didn't play as a team, so yeah... Madrid were lucky to win this game, but Los Blancos have beaten Leganes three times this season, including once in the Copa del Rey.
Leganes is an ordinary opponent who is not worried by Real Madrid in this season's competition even though the match against Leganes yesterday was also rather heavy for Real Madrid because if there was no penalty for Real Madrid, the match would end in a draw. But because Mbappe was able to add a goal through a qualmning kick, it had brought Real Madrid to win and Madrid did not feel ashamed in front of his own supporters.
Actually i didn't see that penalty as a worthy one because Arda Guler ran into the leg of Oscar Rodriguez but however since a VAR check was done and the penalty was affirmed there was nothing could have been done. The game had cases were there could have been a chance for draw such as in the 50th minute when VAR checked on a possible penalty for Leganes but there after it was called off. Mbappe has really gotten his form for Real Madrid, good to see him score two goals against Leganes but Barcelona's 4:1 win against Girona earlier today cancelled the equal points Real Madrid had with Barcelona and it's still the 3 points gap that Barcelona has maintained.
