Liam being dropped was a team decision and shouldn't be on the regulations passed by the FIA.
That just makes the situation of him being replaced after just two races seem that much stranger then it should.
Red Bull accepting an injection of even more cash by a sponsor so to have the only Japanese driver on the F1 circuit to drive in Japan sounded weird to begin with.
And wouldn't sound against the rules in another sport, but this is F1.
Where money means everything and so can move around if those rules are not outlined properly.

Most of trailer had Lewis Hamilton so the storyline most likely will revolve around him and your own driver competing directly with him. Since he was the biggest story in F1 last season so they decided to make him the main opponent of your racing career in the game.
