I look at bitcoin as my early retirement fund. Obviously, none of us want nor expect a significant crash and loss of value from which Bitcoin will never recover.
I am sure that quite a lot of bitcoiners who have been in the network for a lot of time also look at bitcoin in the very same way. Bitcoin is volatile, but since it is a retirement fund, it is a very long term investment depending on the age of the individual, and bitcoin does so well in the long run, neither is it going to go to zero.
No matter how much BTC crash, it will always recover, just that that fear will always be there whenever bitcoin starts to crash. We all know this fact, but adapting to it is a problem.
@Pmalek, I love your view of bitcoin. If everyone starts to view bitcoin in such a manner, we will not experience these much noise at every correction.
LOL, but unfortunately and as a matter of fact, people will always see bitcoin in different lights and perspective, the reason being that we all did not discover about bitcoin the same time, you can't compare the knowledge someone who have known about bitcoin for over 10 years has, to the knowledge of a person that just come to the knowledge of bitcoin last week or last year, they both won't see bitcoin in the same way because the person who just came to the knowledge of bitcoin last year still have limited knowledge and experiences.
Many of us who have been here for quite a long time have gotten used to the corrections in price of bitcoin after the rise, but then for some people who are not used to this yet, I believe it's OK for them to panic, and if they panic and sell, it's a buy opportunity for us who understand better, and with time also, those who panic at every price correction will learn to panic no more.
