Barcelona now officially have 3 points more than Real Madrid and 9 points more than Atletico Madrid and it is nearly the end for Atletico Madrid in title race. Real Madrid are not far behind Barcelona and they still have chance to catch Barcelona and even win the league title.
In another race, Athletic Bilbao now are closer to Atletico Madrid and can take over a third position in coming weeks. Behind top four, Villareal and Real Betis are closely with each other and are competiting for a fifth position that can be very valuable if La Liga finish this season well and have 5 slots to UEFA Champions League next season.
That’s what I have said before, The race is between Real Madrid and Barcelona only, I don’t see any chance for Atletico Madrid unfortunately. If this last managed to stay in top 4 place to guarantee a position for UCL next season then maybe it’s okay for them since the team needs to find another strategy.
Barcelona against Girona reminded me about what happened last season when they have lost in both legs with total 8 goals, surprisingly, Barcelona players seem like they didn’t forget about it and took their revenge with also 8 goals in both legs total. That’s what shows the difference between last season and now.
