I don't think he's the mistake.

I remember he made Ross free and he support in Bitcoin as reserves.

Let's say whoever become the president and he implemented this tariffs, Bitcoin price might be far lower because there was no surge during the announcement of new president until the president officially take his chair.
Bitcoin is Bitcoin, Trump is Trump and Bitcoin will be in charge for a longer time than Trump will be in charge as a President of the USA. Don't mind about him too much, no matter what he does, he will leave the White House after next four years. He can do good things and bad things for USA citizens and Bitcoin community, but he will not be able to harm Bitcoin too much.

He won't be the president forever and he might be hold responsible for any damages in future, whatever you do today becomes a part of the history, something you can never erase again.
Since 2009, there are some Presidents: Obama, Trump, Biden, Trump and Bitcoin ignored all of those Presidential policies, and did it own parabolic growth. History shows it and history has its rhythm too.
