To me, having a Bitcoin reserve will demand a good level of transparency, especially on how our fiat currency is been printed. We have so much relied on the sales of crude oil, but still yet, we don't even feel like an oil producing nation.
From Tax payers money, Increase in VAT, Crude oil revenue, and even the excess money we print, we are still lacking so much in terms of Economic strength. IMO, I think the solution to our Economy crisis lies in our own hands(more of transparency), rather than having a reserve that we can't implement properly.
to start with, it seems you dont know much about what a reserve is and the reason why nations are shifting from using the USD as their reserve to saving in other forms like Bitcoin. Just like we have our savings, a national reserve is just a national savings that is used for three basic functions which are:
central bank operation, international transaction, and a source of investment (since the currencies mostly used for reserves are those that appreciate with time)from an investment point of view and the ease with which it can serve in international transaction, the united state dollar and bitcoin is what dominates the international market due to their popularity and investment potential. this is supposed to be only applicable to how a nations reserve is being spent or handle and not supposed to an almighty solution to solving a nations economic problem. as an edge against inflation, we know it can, in a way affect a nations economy positively but the notion that a reserve on it own can revamp an economy is a fallacy that is built becuase of a failed government that lacks proper economic policy to implement. the tax payers money and all the internally generated revenue are supposed to be instrument through which projects and investment are being carried out that will affect an economy positively, it is the refusal to effectively invest the generated revenue into good use that calls for the consideration of just investing in bitcoin to solve the problem leaders should be facing.
