Manchester United's performance in the Premier League is quite bad. But I think right now they are not focused on the EPL and United have a goal to win the UEL. I think among the teams in the quarterfinals only Lazio and Bilbao will be tough opponents for United to win the title. I am not underestimating Lyon who are doing well in Ligue 1. But I think United will be able to eliminate Lyon and advance to the semifinals. So far United have never lost in the UEL and that is a good record. But if they want to compete better I think Amorim must make big changes in their squad. If they win the UEL then they will compete in the UCL and EPL next season. And they will not get good results with the current squad. I think Amorim needs to spend big in this transfer market.
Amorim should just try and win the Europa League title, if they do so, he’ll not be criticized that much of his performance of not being able to make Manchester United finish in a good position of the premier league. Europa league is also important to them as the premier league, but they have to make their focus to be on the Europa league more now since they have more chances of making it to the finals of the competition and winning the trophy than them even fighting for a top four position on the premier league table. They would want to participate in an European competition by next season but give the position they are on the table now, they don’t even have a chance to make it to the any European competition, not even the conference league will they make it to by next season. The Europa league competition should be their main focus now and if they can win it, it is going to be a great season for them.
