Bitcointalk I learnt is one of the biggest Bitcoin forums (if not the biggest), but I wonder how many of us already knew about Bitcoin before joining here?
Did you first hear about Bitcoin elsewhere (maybe from a friend, social media, or the news), or was Bitcointalk your first real introduction to bitcoin?
For me, I already heard about bitcoin some years ago from my boyfriend. I made a little research on it to be sure my bf is not into what we call yahoo. After knowing about bitcoin, I was hoping and praying he introduced me to it one day. I was so happy the day he did and I think I am loving bitcoin more than him now.

I discovered Bitcoin before knowing Bitcoin talk, it all started when I was online searching for ways to make money online, a site listed the forum as one of the suggestions but I didn't really look into it until a friend of mine told me about it. Then I created my account and started learning about it, the interesting benefits I started experiencing from the forum is the insights on Bitcoin and other crypto currencies, I started learning how learning how to trade on different exchanges and also know how a wallet functions, sometimes all we need is information.
Knowing what Bitcoin was before joining Bitcointalk can be seen in two ways. Earlier i have heard about Bitcoin aswell as other cryptocurrency which i have dealt with earlier that game me so much loss, i can remember one of my loses which i had that took huge sum out of my pocket, i knew Bitcoin but that wasn't enough knowledge to take me through this journey.
When i got introduced to Bitcointalk, it was then i began having certain knowledge and able to pull out my investment, all that happened earlier was just losing money on some shit projects directly or indirectly. If i am to give accolade then it should be to this forum that helped understood perfectly what Bitcoin investment is.
