I think you are very observant cause you quickly noticed that the last two matches that Real Madrid has played they have struggled to win the games but one thing you didn't mention was the fact that the players are looking tired not just that but they have been affected by fatigue due to the number of matches they have played within a short time. Yes the team may not be in good form as they used to be in the previous seasons it all started right from the beginning of the season but they are still in the champions League, still challenging Barcelona for the league title and yesterday they qualified for the Copa del Rey finals after defeating Real sociedad don't you think the team is trying despite their poor form this season?
Real Madrid against Leganes they managed to win and the Manager Ancelotti saw everything that played down don't you think he's making ways to better the performance of his team? Well at this point I think the Real Madrid team has done well this season and winning the league title or any other trophy should follow their performance but if they end up not winning any trophy this season I don't think it's totally bad because they have won trophies back to back so if they go trophy less this season it should also be on the record cause they have other records in their history. Let's see if they will struggle against Arsenal in the champions League on the 8th of April that's when I will believe that they don't know what they are doing this season.
Point me to a team that's not being hit by fatigue at this stage of the season. We just saw some of the players return from international duty and it's normal for their playing form to reduce but this slack in performance was since before the break and if you mention the fact that they have been in other competitions, the other teams also experienced this. Let's just be realistic, the defense of Real Madrid is weak and Sociedad opened it yesterday, same way small team like Leganes did.
Real Madrid will play Arsenal next week and yesterday, two of their best defenders (Timber and Gabriel ) were sent off with injuries so if it's a matter of clubs being hit by fatigue, Madrid aren't the only ones suffering this.
