Let me ask a very simple question. Who is the best footballer, so far in 21st century? My answer would be Cristiano Ronaldo. Some may go for Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappé may be the choice for a few others. Then there will be significant support for players such as Luka Modrić, Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Andrés Iniesta and Xavi Hernández. Out of all these players, how many are participating in the Saudi Professional League? Only Ronaldo. And that makes him the best player right now in this league.
Christiano Ronaldo is the GOAT in my opinion. I know others may refer to Lionel Messi as the greatest footballer in the last decade. The debate has always been about Ronaldo and Messi, who is better. Kylian Mbappe is not even in the conversation, the likes of Mbappe, Vini, Haaland just came into the spotlight a few years ago. Ronaldo is definitely the most popular player in the Saudi League right now, I wouldn’t say he’s the best though because of his age. There are younger talents in the league that may be playing really amazing football but do not have that exposure.
