Don't chase your near misses nor your luck with gambling. The result will not do good or make you feel good in the long run. This is my personal experience and so I've learned now to avoid or get rid with this gambling urge. Either you fall on that and commit bigger losses, or you stop gambling for a while until you recover your sanity with gambling.
The result is always done well, which is why the advice will continue to be the same from those who have experienced it. In the long run, as a gambler, it's important we just keep to our plan and budget for gambling; no matter what the result of a game turns out to be, we don't allow that to determine our next action. If a gambler can stick to his own gambling rules, chasing near misses or luck won't be his thing.
