Pakistan had a golden opportunity to win the 2nd ODI against New Zealand but they could not do it. Pakistan's performance in the entire series was not up to expectations. Their batting was in disaster in every match. Due to which they lost all but 1 match. In the 2nd ODI, when New Zealand set a target of 292 runs, Pakistan lost all their wickets for 208 runs. They had to finish the match with 9 overs remaining. If the batsmen could have played here, then it would not have been very difficult to win the match. Pakistan could not take advantage New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa Tri-Series in Pakistan , Champions Trophy and the current Pakistan tour of New Zealand. Due to which various questions have been raised about the team's qualifications.
Yes! It is true that they had a chance to beat New Zealand in the second ODI. If they had kept their wickets, it might have been possible. They were all out with 9 overs to go, it was very sad. The main reason for this disappointment with Pakistan was the batting disaster. None of the players of Pakistan could perform well in batting. Pakistan needs to work hard, improve their game, and select good players, then, maybe we will see better games from Pakistan in the future.
