Here's the scores for the match, Chelsea won the game. It was a defining moment for the blues as they dominated the midfield and attacking front under a tensed atmosphere at the bridge. Although the game would have produced total three goals but two goals were disallowed, one from Caicedo which was chalked off for an offside and the other goal from the Tottenham player Sarr which was ruled out for a foul after a VAR check. This result automatically takes Chelsea to the 4th place on the table again with one point above City.
Meanwhile Spurs continued in their 14th position in the standings despite the result of this game.
There were clear indications that Chelsea was better than Spurs and would likely win the match, so I wasn't amazed at the result.
However, if Chelsea Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo have started to make nice impacts in the Chelsea team, this is a good story. We should not include Chelsea as among the flops of the season then.
It seems that Tottenham are indeed very patience with their manager Ange Postecoglou as he was not getting replaced even after his horrible performance for leading Tottenham close to the bottom of the table after 30 games played. I guess if Tottenham are not having the luxury of being able to acquire so many big superstars players into the team at the transfer market, it won't be a surprise to see them dropping into the relegation zone with Ange Postecoglou in charge as the manager.
If you go by this criteria, you should be ready to sack many coaches in the EPL. Coaches as Ruben Amorim for Manchester United, Van Nesteroy for Leicester City, including Postecoglou and even more. There are no much good managers this season.
