It’s too late for Manchester United and their former goalkeeper De Gea, don’t you think? Erik ten Hag already burned that bridge. De Gea is a club legend but he is 34 years old now, although I think he’s a far better goalkeeper than Andre Onana. Manchester United should young goalkeeper that can work with Amorim.
You will be surprised that if they somehow managed to bring him back to Manchester United, that he still will not be able to perform as he used to now that age has come and his quality must have diminished. Manchester United should either consider getting a personal coach for Onana or getting a younger and promising talent for Goal keeper. There are many options, even if they are not first team selections for their current clubs, but have potential to be a good choice first choice for Manchester United.
It is not just Manchester United that need to change their goalkeeper, Chelsea also need it too.
I know Ten Hag really messed up with the way he treated some players and how he let some players leave but I don't think It is a good idea to bring him back or any player that have left the team. De Gea is not getting any younger and even though Onana hasn't been at his best yet I don't think De Gea is the solution they need, they should rather look for another alternative of a younger talented goalkeeper if they must change Onana.
Manchester United is still in a mess and so it is easier for players to join and end up as flops because the entire team is struggling. If the team should improve a bit I believe a lot of player we all think are underperforming might actually start performing well and even Onana might become better. Onana used to be Better than this when he was at Inter Milan that's why I think his performance was affected by the team's poor form.
