If I was David De Gea I wouldn’t give Manchester United a chance. He spent 12 years at Manchester United and they kicked him out without a thought. The reason Onana was considered a replacement for David Dea Gea was because of his relationship with the manager at the time. Onana played under Erik ten Hag in Ajax so it was not a surprise that Onana was one of the expensive and yet unproductive signings ETH made.
André Onana was having an extraordinary performance in Inter Milan when he got the attention of Manchester United. The club desperately needed a replacement after David Dea Gea failed to accept the contract he was offered. The Spanish goalkeeper wanted to still remain one of the highest paid goal stoppers in the world and he wanted a longer contract which the club failed to give. Erik Ten Hag made the right decision to hire the Cameroonian stopper but unluckily he failed to perform well. The club had no other option than to keep featuring to see if he would improve but he kept on being inconsistent. I think Onana should be sold, maybe he doesn't suit the English Premier League.
