Genova pitch is super hard, not because Genova is a strong team and they know they pitch, but because it always seems like is a more little pitch than others, i didnt check this fact but i always feel that when i see the games played in that stadium, and the ball movement and distances between players change everything, if you see genova can lose but always even the bigger teams strugle when they play in Genova.
the Genoa pitch is notoriously challenging and it's not just because of the team strength or familiarity with the field well several factors contribute to its difficulty I guess the size of the pitch was kind of small which affected the ball movement and one thing player spacing, and also the pitch was hard and uneven surface which costs unpredictable bounces, making difficult for player to control the ball, which lead to mistakes and misjudgment especially for visiting teams.
