If you're working and earning some income and dodging from paying your tax you're not just a bad citizen but an enemy to the development of your country. Except in certain cases where the citizens are not feeling the impact of the taxes they are paying, it is in this situations that some citizens starts to feel and question the need for paying tax. But if you're in a society where your tax money is being utilized efficiently and effectively by the government then you owe it as an obligation compulsorily to pay tax in order to keep enjoying the basic amenities and public facilities you use.
So what do you mean? do you mean if the government is bad, you're a good citizen if you avoid to pay tax? you're allowed to not pay tax since your government is bad?

There's nothing like that, even your government were the worst government in entire countries, you must pay tax if you don't like it, otherwise you will get penalty or even ended up in jail.
Am not against tax payments, it's part of the duty and obligations that a citizen owes to his country's government.

However, you won't understand if you come from a country where the government are making you feel direct impact of your tax payments in virtually all aspect.

Coming from a country where you see how the country's treasury is being looted by corrupt politicians leaving the country to poor infrastructural facilities, am not sure you'll have the joy of paying your tax when you still pay more for quality medical care that's unaccessible to many, educational system and facilities that doesn't compete with global standard, transport systems that are just a nightmare to think of and the worst insecurity that doesn't seem to end because the government ain't giving it the required attention to it's end.

Like I said, you probably may not understand.
