I would not call them a threat at the moment. The technology is still very crude and is far from mainstream adoption. It also is not a threat when it can be adopted into the current casino system, as it gets more popular more casinos will integrate it into their system and it will start to get more refined when more investment funds are pumped in as each tries to outdo the other.

It can be said that this technology is still relatively expensive than smartphones so yes it has not become common consumption for now, yes I agree with this idea, it will not make online casinos lose today, it will only change the casino landscape to something much bigger and more sophisticated than before.
It’s definitely a lot more expensive than smartphones. Especially if they want to aim for the highest quality possible. Not many are using it now so not many finds the need to integrate it immediately and lose some money since it won’t be that profitable yet.

However, for casinos that are unable to provide an experience service for VR users, they may only be in place without making any changes, yes, it can be said that they will be left behind, but I am quite sure that if this technology is of interest to many gamblers, then every casino will definitely integrate it.
They will only act once it’s become a common thing. Not many wants to lead innovation in their own industries. It’s a risk and leap of faith.
