Is there a free gambling for dummies guide out there that explains in depth all the oldest to modern facets of gambling with historical data that you would recommend? Like a gambling encyclopedia that keeps up with the entire gambling world?
Something that doesn't really fit the description you made is all I know. Every casino has a guide for beginners and FAQs. That alone can solve 80% of your problems. For the rest? Well, Wikipedia is your friend.

That's true, but gambling isn't supposed to get that far. People always want to eat their cakes and have it back -- if you eventually begin to dedicate such a range in time for the purpose of learning the some techniques and making comparisons through historical records and stuff, you're slowly selling out yourself to the game.
