Leverkusen got lucky in the last minutes of the game and scored a goal with I think their second chance of the games. I think they only had two shots on target, maybe three. That's sad since they are out of the Champions League, out of the DFB Pokal and I thought they would give everything to play the best possible Bundesliga now.
Yes, but as good as they did in the Bundesliga, it is still difficult to take over Bayern Munich's dominance as the top standing. And that means, this season, Leverkusen will not lift any trophies. This is the consequence, I thought yesterday they would be successful in the DFB Pokal because their opponent was a small club whose performance was who knows what, but in fact, Xabi and the team could not optimize it and missed so much. so they failed and there is no hope anymore.
That was the tone of my post because I doubt Leverkusen has a chance as they don't make the impression they are fully determined to give those last six games their everything. No dominance, not impressive at all.
Dortmund is having a tough few days coming their way with Bayern against them in Munich and then two games against Barcelona. But they can't really rotate any of their good players as they need the points against Bayern if possible because of the Champions League qualification in the Bundesliga and then of course against Barcelona. This is the first time Kovac can make a name for himself. I hate him as a coach because in my opinion he is very bad, but there he goes. Now he can prove me wrong!
