To think that Real Madrid failed to take the opportunity of getting ahead of Barcelona after the 1-1 Barcelona had against Real Betis. The draw which would have been a point drop for Barcelona turned out to be a lift considering that Real Madrid lost to Valencia in a 1-2 defeat.
I think the Spanish La'liga is getting more competitive as the season draws to an end. The league top three positions are still open for the three clubs and if ATM can work harder perhaps they can find the second place but for who's really going to win the league for now it's not certain as what it is in the EPL.
You said "to think that Real Madrid failed to take the opportunity of getting ahead of Barcelona after the 1 - 1 Barcelona had against Real Betis". Now you're sounding as if it was Barcelona that played first before Real Madrid, Barcelona would have extended their lead over Real Madrid to 6 points after Real Madrid slipped against Valencia. Real Madrid couldn't have taken advantage over something that hasn't yet occurred but Barcelona could have taken advantage since Real Madrid own has already occurred.
My bad then, but yet it is what it is. Had Real Madrid won their game against Valencia with Barcelona failing to cling all three points but one on meeting Betis the points difference would have been just 1 at most with some goals difference unlike what we have now 4 points gap. The pressure is now increased on Real Madrid to make sure they don't lose any game going forward if they want to still stand a chance in overtaking Barcelona to stay top. I hope to see more surprises unfolding for these two clubs with the few games left to play.
