I just want to ask if topics related to the forum like sMerit applications, pmerit, or merit distribution should really be moved or posted in the local off-topic subboard. Do local boards have different rules regarding this?
Because I notice in our Pilipinas local board, these kinds of discussions are usually moved to or directly posted in the local off-topic section.
But in other local boards, I noticed that most of the related merit discussion are in the main local board itself (added: even they have local off topic subboard). That's why I'm asking if there is different rules regarding this.
I think it is all the local moderator's discretion and they make mistakes sometimes. So, you are free to call the attention of your local moderator to it. In my local board, I have seen where bitcoin related discussion was moved to politics and society.
My suggestions is if your local board discusses a lots of forum improvements discussions then it is best to have your own local board meta sub board to differentiate it with off topic discussions
Your suggestion isn't correct. No matter what they discuss in their local board relating to meta, it cannot be implemented because theymos might not visit there. There is only one meta board and it is fine that way.
