Scouts for Manchester United seem to be too focused on rapid improvement where they seem to expect some players who shine at one club and are recruited to Mancehster United to do the same but do not see whether the philosophy goes well or not later which makes a lot of purchases even at absurd prices but instead end up with the same thing where failure always occurs.
But it is undeniable that this scheme for Mancheter United is likely to continue for now even as the rumors are still the same where they will try to find targets with good performance in the squad as for this summer where rumors they will bring in Gyokeres with the hope of continuing that in the EPL which sometimes this competition is a problem for some players because they have to improve more in the EPL.
In my opinion Manchester United scouting approach is not good. They are too focused on finding players who can make instant impact without thinking about whether they will fit in with team long term plans. This has led to cycle of expensive signings that mostly fail. And you are it is disappointing to see that Manchester United is still using this approach even though it has not worked well in past. Rumors about signing players like Gyokeres this summer suggest that they are still prioritizing short term gains over long term success. EPL is very tough competition and it is not always easy for players to adapt and improve. I think Manchester United needs to change their strategy and focus on building strong team with clear vision.
