I saw this news but I don't believe it due to some reason I'll still explain but if it's true then I think you're right about the board being shameful for their wrong decisions of offloading him so they now want him back, but instead of De Gea why can't they move on from Onana to a better younger and developing or developed keeper out there? Well my reason for not believing the news is because INEOS stated it clear that they'll be going after younger talents and for the right price, that would last them for the future, well De Gea might not cost them much but he'll be 35 years this year he could be a quick fix in that area but he's not going to last them long-term due to his age, which is why I prefer they go for a younger talent out their that's doing better than Onana and would fit in perfectly into Amorim's system.
I agree with you on this. It is true that they made a mistake by sending De Gea away and getting Onana, but it has been two seasons already and I do not see how De Gea would be getting back into United and helping after this age. He is 34-35 years old, and he is only getting older.

Onana was a mistake, and they should sell him as soon as possible, and they should find some other goalkeeper. The sad part about football world is that we do not have many under 30 year old great goalkeepers at the moment, not like we did back in the day. When I look at all the "expensive" goalkeepers from transfermarket, like the highest value, none of them are superstar names, none of them pop out. So United will just hope for the best when they replace Onana.
