For me am even surprised that they still manage to secure second place in the bundesliga title race because I was expecting most of the teams to have actually gotten used to their style of play and then maybe tackle them because they did something unbelievable last season and repeating such is the hardest task ever for any team so seeing them go head to head with Bayern is quite interesting too.
If you look back of all results and how Leverkusen has played the other Teams got used to there playing and thats why they even dont dominate the same the League as they have done it last Season.
What Leverkusen did last season was an uniqur thing i guess and yes it was unbelievable , but they are playing still good and the race about the title is still not over for now.
I would love to see them getting the title back again.
But isn't that normal? They had like 50+ game unbeaten streak last season, so you are saying they are not as good as a team that went 50+ games unbeaten? Isn't that normal for a team to be not that great? After all last season was a big deal and I understand that not being all that much important but we are not looking into this as a big difference, because they shouldn't be able to do what they did last season normally, that was an incredible season and should not be expected from any team.
Hell, 10+ year champions Bayern Munich didn't do a 50+ game winning streak as far as I know, so that shows you what they did last year was insane. What they are doing this season is a bit more normal, a few wins here and there would have made them winners, it's a normal season for them, not "bad", it's quite good.
