You see the strength of a team only from the current standings and not from the past history or the big name of a team? which I think is unfair, the lucky ones in the next match are Chelsea and Man City. Nottingham and Newcastle face tough opponents you can't say it's an easy 3 points for them because Everton and Man Utd are not easy teams to beat. That means next week Chelsea can still maintain their current position if they win against Ipswich Town and besides those who are competing for the top 4 positions must be careful because Aston Villa can get closer next week.
I agree with you. Don't just guess by looking at the current standings, this can still change with many matches remaining. Nottingham and Newcastle still have tough matches so the possibility of losing points is still very open especially when the season is under a lot of pressure and all teams will compete for victory to fight for their respective standings.
Man City is currently in 6th place in the standings, only 5 points behind Nottingham, on paper Man City still has a chance to enter the UCL zone mathematically, Pep Guardiola has done the impossible for 7 years by winning the title 6 times, dominating football in England.
So with the experience and mentality that Man City currently has, of course they can get through the remaining matches with victory, especially if you look at the opponents that Man City will face until the end of the season, there are not many strong teams faced, only Aston Villa is considered tough, the rest are easy opponents. Big names, squad quality and coach experience are very influential, so don't look at and predict the results of the season based on the current standings.
