Actually, augmented reality casinos have the potential to reshape the gambling landscape entirely. AR can offer a fully engaging experience, transforming the physical aspects we see at casinos into a digital gaming world with all the possible details. I believe the next generation will gravitate toward AR casinos unless existing projects take proactive steps to counter this threat. For example, online casinos need to start collaborating with developers now to explore the possibility of incorporating AR or VR options into their games. Otherwise, they risk finding themselves left behind, much like what happened to Nokia when touchscreen technology emerged...
What do you think? Are we witnessing the dawn of a new era in gambling? And more importantly, have you ever experienced an AR/VR casino? How was it?
It's funny because the world goes through waves of hype around 3D (and now more augmented reality) once a generation it seems. Sure, it has gotten progressively better and leaped forward between each iteration, but even this time it has not been able to get enough critical mass to become a "thing" in say the gaming category. It still appears to be super expensive and while there are some excellent examples of games using it, none have a big enough player base to embrace multiplayer. I remember second life getting some major hype as a "virtual world" probably ten years ago now, it included some gambling and allowed players to buy virtual real estate but it is barely surviving right now.
When it comes to cost then we can really say that it is expensive, and this might be the reason on why that being that fully adopted or being developed or something that being integrated into gambling industry.
Its true that VR might that have been existing already but the integration or application on it into certain industries doesnt come cheap and thats why its not shocking that we aren't seeing too much out of this one and still remain into those traditional way of gambling despite of the technological advancement we do have just because of this kind of main problem that such application wont come cheap. Therefore, they would be just that still observing into other competitions on starting up the trend or such changes in gambling industry. If it turned out that it do get up that tons of demand and recognition then they might consider on adding it up into their business. It would be that great for us gamblers to see up such changes because we do know that this will be bringing up that kind of another user experience and something which is more enjoyable or something that it is more entertaining.
