I honestly can't believe Arsenal could beat Real Madrid 3-0 so badly. I guess I overestimated the strength of Real's attack, because in the Arsenal match I think Mbappe, Bellingham and Vinicius were more in each other's way on the pitch than helping Real to score and if it wasn't for Courtois' great performance Real would have lost even bigger.
Terrible game of Real and what Ancelotti will do now in the return match is unclear, given that Arsenal can still defend.
Perhaps this is Arsenal's best game of the season, after the game against PSV, when Arsenal managed to score 7 goals.
There were doubts about Real Madrid's weak defense in such a match. Match planning is the most important thing in big matches. If you cannot find the weaknesses of the opponent and attack their weak points, then you have failed in planning. I would say Arsenal will get 100 marks in match planning. Because they found Real Madrid's weaknesses and strengths and managed the match with the right plan and defeated a superpower like Real Madrid by a huge margin of 3-0 goals. I thought that Real Madrid would face threats in big matches with their weak defense, but I had no idea that Arsenal would threaten them like this.
The plan for Arsenal in the second leg will be easy. They just have to strengthen their defense and plan for counterattacks. But you have to make sure that Real Madrid does not get any chance to attack. In this case, I prefer an offensive plan to win the second leg. Because no defense can survive for long against a strong attack like Real Madrid. So the best plan would be to try to keep them under pressure as much as possible.
